Meet Stacey
Accredited Development Specialist

My career in early childhood education officially began in 1995 although unofficially you could say my journey started in the 1980’s with neighborhood babysitting jobs. I am passionate about early childhood education and child development and I believe strongly in celebrating childhood!
Over the years, I have held a variety of roles including Center Owner, Director, Teacher, Pediatric Physical Therapist, PD Specialist, Pyramid Model Master Cadre and perhaps most significantly, proud parent of four children. These experiences allow me to relate to and support audiences of diverse backgrounds. I often share first hand accounts and connect with clients through anecdotes from my day to day experiences. I don’t just speak about the struggles of parenting, teaching, school administration and ownership, I have lived them too! Experiencing these things over the last 25 years has allowed me to develop a new perspective and to share that perspective with others.
In 1999, my husband and I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, based on our shared vision and dream, and opened Island Kids Early Childhood Center. In 2005 based on the incredible success and growth of our 1st program we opened a second location. In 2021 we consolidated our programs into one location allowing us to more efficiently manage our growing program!
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University and a Master of Science in Education from Long Island University. I am also a NYAEYC credentialed Professional Development Specialist and a Certified Pyramid Model Master Cadre.
My goal is to help families, educators and administrators to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of Developmentally Appropriate Practice, problem solving, relationship building, and child centered learning.
